Katherine "Katie" Collier, FNP
Katie joined our practice in 2022, and she loves seeing the positive changes in our patients’ lives after they have received care from our team. The transformations both physically and mentally can be astounding, and she’s always proud to be a part of this process. She looks forward to welcoming you into our practice, and below, you can start getting to know her.
Credentials & Affiliations
Katie’s father was a respiratory therapist for almost 45 years, so she was drawn to healthcare from an early age. She went on to attend the University of Texas at Austin for her undergraduate education and earned a master’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. Today, she is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner who specializes in cardiology as well as obesity and sleep medicine.
Previously, she worked at Children’s Health Dallas/UT Southwestern from 2005-2017 in the cardiology department, and then she spent some time at Weight Management Medical Associates. To keep her skills and knowledge up to date, she is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine as well as the Obesity Medicine Association.
When Not in the Office…
Katie married her college sweetheart, and today, they have three beautiful daughters, a dog named Hazel, and two hermit crabs, Frank and Fred. When she isn’t taking care of her children or animals, she likes to go camping, see live music, and go out for boat rides on the lake.
